The property is in an amazing location and central to absolutely everything, you couldn’t get a better location. The hotel isn’t the most modern however it’s very comfortable and welcoming. The beds are so comfy and the pillow which covers the entire bed is the nicest pillow I’ve ever slept on and I travel a lot. It was such an amazing sleep. I actually need to find these pillows and buy one for my home. The food was lovely and I found the breakfast to be brilliant with lots of options and although the evening meal is quite limited, what you do get is delicious. There’s always a hot soup, amazing fresh bread and a main choice with veg, potatoes and salad. We stayed 3 evenings and there was a different homemade soup each night (mushroom, minestrone, Thai soup) and the mains were fish pasta bake, chicken curry and the last evening pork in a cream sauce and all 3 were delicious. I really enjoyed the hotel despite it being a little old fashioned, it was charming, welcoming and homely which is what you want after braving the wintery Elements.

All the meals are included : the breakfast buffet (with eggs and bacon, potatoes, sausages, ham, cheese, salmon, yogurt, cereals, croissants, many types of crackers and bread, and gluten free options), the afternoon cake called "fika", and light dinner. No lunch. You can also have coffee or tea free of charge anytime, and you also have access to sauna and you can book a jacuzzi. The beds are also really comfortable, excellent to sleep in after a long night of aurora hunting. The location is amazing, right in the center near the harbor, and less than 5 minutes walk from every meeting point for all the tours in Tromsø.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is very central and they have (paid) parking right in front. The size of the rooms is ok and they were able to provide connecting rooms for our family. The staff is very friendly, especially at the restaurant, and all the meals (breakfast, afternoon tea/cake, and dinner) are included in your stay. Dinner is somewhat limited, but breakfast options are great. This was also the only hotel during our 2-week trip in Norway that had decent blackout curtains (absolutely necessary in summer). Sauna and a rooftop hot tub are great too.

The staff were very friendly and reception was open all hours. The location of the hotel was prefect because it was close to the main street and also near the water with great views. Within walking distance to a lot of other hotels that were the pick up spots for our activities. Also saw the northern lights from the front of the hotel on two of the nights even though it was a very cloudy week. Great selection for breakfast and the additional fika and dinner options were a nice choice as well. Heated floors in the bathroom were so nice on the cold days.

Breakfast, fika (afternoon cake), and dinner were included, offering a wide variety of choices for both breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent overall. Coffee, tea, and water were available all day in the dining room. The infrastructure was good and very clean. The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring the city, easily reachable by bus from the airport with just a 10-minute ride.
